Sigenergy stacked energy systems, sized to your property
One stack with the inverter and battery together, matched to your property, with control over your own supply built in.
Start an assessmentIs a stacked system like Sigenergy actually different, or just a different box?
Does this sound familiar?
The right answer comes from what the stack actually does for your property, not from the word "integrated."
Sigenergy for South African businesses and homes: one stack, sized to your property
Sigenergy builds SigenStor: an energy controller, which is the inverter, with battery modules that stack directly onto it, instead of separate inverter and battery boxes standing apart. The controller and the battery modules are built to work together and are monitored through one app, mySigen.
For how a solar inverter works in general, hybrid vs grid-tied vs off-grid, sizing, kW vs kWh, phase rules and the South African connection rules in detail, see Solar Power Inverters. This page covers what is specific to Sigenergy.
ZenSolar designs every Sigenergy system in house, matched to your property and sized to your panels and real load, and backs every stack with a 10-year swap-out warranty. Business first, the Sigenergy range runs from a small office up to a factory floor; at home, it runs from a small house up to a large one.
And we can do the same for you.

Sigenergy at a glance
| Part | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| SigenStor energy controller | Runs from 3.0 to 12.0kW on single phase and 5.0 to 30.0kW on three phase, so a home or a mid-size business can move up the same product line as it grows. SigenStor energy controllers are on South Africa's NRS 097-2-1 list. |
| SigenStor BAT battery modules | Up to six modules stack onto one controller, added over time. The four sizes are BAT 5.0 (5.38 kWh total), BAT 6.0 (6.02 kWh total), BAT 8.0 (8.06 kWh total) and BAT 10.0 (9.04 kWh total). You can start with the battery size you need now and add more later. |
| EV charging | The optional DC module delivers 12.5kW as standard, upgradeable to 25kW. |
| Energy Gateway | Business models start at 60kW of nominal AC power per unit and coordinate several stacks as one system. Home models run up to 30kW. |
SigenStor Neo: the newer, simpler stack
SigenStor Neo folds the Energy Gateway into the same unit as the controller and battery, for a site that wants one fewer box. Read the full details on SigenStor Neo.

| Property | A Sigenergy setup that fits |
|---|---|
| Shop or office | SigenStor three phase, sized to your loads, with the AC charger if a fleet vehicle needs charging |
| Factory or farm | SigenStor three phase at the top of its range, or the Sigen C&I inverter for a bigger site, coordinated through the Business Energy Gateway |
| School | SigenStor three phase, sized to classroom and office loads, with the AC charger for a staff or minibus fleet |
| Bigger business | The Sigen C&I inverter and SigenStack, quoted after the free energy assessment |
| Large home | SigenStor, single or three phase, with more battery modules stacked on as needed, and the DC or AC charger for an electric car |
| Small home | SigenStor single phase, one or two battery modules, monitored through mySigen |
How we get you the right Sigenergy setup
1
Book your free energy assessment
We look at your property's usage, roof or site, and your biggest loads, so we know what your stack actually needs.
2
We size your stack
Controller, battery modules and, if you want it, an EV charger, sized to your panels and your biggest load, then quoted for your property.
3
Installed and monitored
Your stack is on, the CoC and SSEG application is handled for you, and you see it all in the mySigen app, which sends you pop-up notifications if something needs a look. Installed by our team and preferred, vetted installers approved by the brands, and backed by a 10-year swap-out warranty.
Is Sigenergy right for you?
Sigenergy suits you if you would rather have one stack, controller and battery modules built to work together, instead of separate inverter and battery boxes, and if you might want EV charging built into the same stack later. The stack stands as one unit on the floor or on the wall, so plan one spot for it rather than several boxes spread around a room.
FoxESS may suit you better if you would rather mix separate inverter and battery units and add to them room by room, or if you do not need EV charging built into the stack itself. Compare the two on FoxESS.

Frequently asked questions
Sigenergy makes SigenStor at its own factory in Shanghai, and builds its battery modules from LiFePO4 cells, the same chemistry used across the industry for its stability. ZenSolar fits Sigenergy alongside FoxESS and backs every Sigenergy inverter and battery with its own 10-year swap-out warranty, so a failure is ZenSolar's problem to fix, not yours.
Sigenergy builds its battery modules from LiFePO4 cells, a chemistry chosen across the industry for a long working life. ZenSolar backs every Sigenergy battery with its own 10-year swap-out warranty: if one fails within that period, it gets swapped out, not sent away for a lengthy repair.
The energy controller carries built-in protection: it monitors for insulation faults and unexpected current, protects against reverse polarity and surges, and stops feeding power into the grid whenever the grid supply is switched off, so line workers stay safe. These run automatically and do not need you to do anything.
Yes. SigenStor's three-phase controllers run from 5.0 to 30.0kW and give unbalanced three-phase power output, meaning they can put a different amount of power onto each phase. That suits a business with uneven loads across its three phases, which a single-phase-only battery cannot do.
SigenStor Neo is Sigenergy's newer stack, which folds the Energy Gateway into the same unit as the controller and battery, so a site needs one fewer box. See the full detail on SigenStor Neo.
Yes, two ways. The optional DC charger module plugs into the same stack and draws power straight from your panels and battery, up to 25kW. The separate Sigen EV AC charger runs at 7, 11 or 22kW with a solar surplus mode, for a site that does not need the DC module.
Sigenergy states its DC charger module supports bi-directional charging, so a car built to support it can send power back to the home or the grid, at the 25kW setting. This depends entirely on what the car itself supports, and no official list of compatible cars is published yet, so ask us before counting on it for your own vehicle.
Neither is simply better, and both suit homes and businesses. Sigenergy stacks the inverter and battery together as one unit, with an optional EV charger built in. FoxESS uses separate inverter and battery units you mix and match. ZenSolar fits every model of both; the right one depends on whether you prefer one stack or separate boxes, and whether you want EV charging built in.
The mySigen app monitors your system and, through Sigen AI Mode, uses weather forecasts, your usage pattern, battery status and electricity prices to decide when to store power and when to use it. It adjusts itself around the weather and the tariff, rather than running on a fixed timer.
Yes. CoC and SSEG application handled for you. For how the general South African connection rules work, see Solar Power Inverters.
