Does this sound familiar?
FoxESS makes the hardware. ZenSolar decides which piece of it fits your property, then installs it and stands behind it.
One brand, matched to your property by ZenSolar
It is hard to buy with confidence when you do not know which FoxESS model fits, or what the FoxCloud app will show you once it is on the wall. That is why we match the model to your property first.
FoxESS makes hybrid inverters and high voltage batteries across single and three phase, from a small home unit up to a commercial range built for bigger sites. ZenSolar fits every FoxESS model it sells, to homes and businesses alike, sized from your property's real load and usage, not a generic spec sheet.
Every FoxESS system ZenSolar installs is backed by ZenSolar's own 10-year swap-out warranty, with CoC and SSEG application handled for you.
The sections below walk through each FoxESS product line ZenSolar sells, business first, then homes.
EFJS Printing runs a 30 kW FoxESS inverter and paid back its investment in 2.5 years. And we can do the same for you.

FoxESS at a glance
| Part | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| H3 Pro and H3 Smart | Three-phase inverters for business: H3 Pro runs 15 to 30 kW and H3 Smart runs 5 to 15 kW. |
| Commercial range | G-MAX PLUS cabinets combine an inverter and a battery in one unit, from 50 to 125 kW per cabinet. Several are combined for medium to bigger business jobs of 300 kW and up, designed after the free energy assessment. |
| KH and H1 (G2) | Single-phase inverters for homes and smaller sites: KH runs 7 to 10.5 kW and H1 (G2) runs 3 to 6 kW. Both are on South Africa's NRS 097-2-1 list of tested inverters. |
| EP5 and EP11 batteries | EP5 is 5.18 kWh nominal at 192V and EP11 is 10.36 kWh nominal at 384V. Each can stack up to four units on one system. Both use LiFePO4 cells and have an IP65 rating. |
| FoxCloud app | Shows real-time and historical production and use, and supports tariff scheduling, so you can see what your system is doing without a site visit. |
| M1-1200 microinverter | Outputs up to 1,200W and fits behind one or two panels, a small top-up for an odd corner of roof, monitored on the same FoxCloud app. |

Frequently asked questions
FoxESS is a Chinese maker. It was established in September 2019, builds its products at its own factory in Wenzhou, China, and runs a research centre in Wuxi. ZenSolar checks every model it sells against FoxESS's own current datasheets.
We can only answer with what FoxESS itself confirms: it has manufactured hybrid inverters and batteries since 2019, across a wide single and three-phase range, with models on South Africa's own national NRS 097-2-1 inverter list. ZenSolar backs every FoxESS installation with its own 10-year swap-out warranty, so the brand's standing is not the only thing you are relying on.
FoxESS runs a dedicated South African service desk by email, and its head office and factory are in China. ZenSolar is your local contact on the ground: a 10-year swap-out warranty, we install and maintain, and CoC and SSEG application handled for you.
A hybrid inverter manages a battery as well as converting your panels' power, so you can choose when to use stored power and when to draw from the grid. A grid-tied inverter has no battery. See Solar Power Inverters for how the types compare in general.
FoxESS does not publish one single global figure ZenSolar can put on this page. What ZenSolar can promise is its own: every FoxESS inverter and battery it installs carries ZenSolar's 10-year swap-out warranty, so a failed unit within that period gets swapped out, not sent away for a lengthy repair.
FoxCloud, FoxESS's app, shows real-time and historical production and use by day, week, month and year, on Android or iOS. It also supports tariff scheduling, so the system can lean on stored power during the priciest hours and recharge when power is cheapest.
Yes. A FoxESS hybrid inverter can run grid-tied without a battery from day one, drawing on your panels and the grid directly. A battery can be added later without replacing the inverter, so you can start with panels now and add storage when it suits you.
The KH, H1 (G2) and H3 Pro ranges are on South Africa's national NRS 097-2-1 inverter list, which makes the SSEG application simpler. ZenSolar handles that application either way, as part of CoC and SSEG application handled for you.
Single phase (KH, H1 (G2)) suits homes and smaller sites on a single-phase supply. Three phase (H3 Pro, H3 Smart, and the commercial range) suits businesses with heavier equipment on a three-phase supply. Check your DB board, or ask us during the free energy assessment.
Yes. FoxESS's high voltage batteries stack up to four units, its three-phase inverters can be paralleled, and the commercial range adds cabinets rather than replacing anything. ZenSolar can size your first phase and plan for the next one at the same time.
